Didn't have any plans for dinner saturday evening yet and found this lovely Restaurant on google maps by looking for Restaurants in Sittard.
The overwhelmingly positive reviews of The Dutchess stood out and i figured its worth a shot.
After checking out the menu online I knew that the price range of the restaurant isn't super cheap, but since it looked like you can get actually good, fresh and seasonal food there and i was going back to Austria on the next day i didnt mind all that much.

Reserving online was easy and so we showed up at 19:00 later that evening.
The restaurant is located within an old building which gives off a really nice vibe when you enter.
We had a table for two outside.
The atmosphere was really nice there with a plant coverered framework growing abov you.
I sadly dont remember the full names of the dishes we had, but my "soy glazed duck" was great and my partner also absolutely loved her starter.
She chose the pie of the day as a main dish (which was chicken-champignon) and also really enjoyed that while I couldnt have been happier with my Beef tenderloin.
We then shared the Cheesecake of the day because we both were sadly quite full at that point.
I myself am quite "knowledgeable" when it comes to cheesecakes since i do make them myself quite often (and will absolutely try to recreate that one), so believe me when tell you that it was absolutely delicious.

We then after paying had a quick chat with the chef on the way out and left the restaurant satisfied and full.

So, to summarize, if you want to go out for dinner to a nice restaurant that focuses on seasonal products and are ok with paying a bit more than your average pizza place, do visit The Dutchess in Sittard, and dont forget to try that cheescake of the day!
