A bad experience for a high price...

We were a group of 10 people, 2 of which were vegetarian.

The first thing we've been told is that since we were a group, we could not order individually, because it would be too much work for the kitchen. There would be mixed starters for everyone, and afterwards different kinds of meat as main course, and a “surprise” for the vegetarians (“laat je verrassen door de chef”).

The starter arrived on 3 big plates. After being asked which things were vegetarian, the waiter removed meat from a zucchini, moved a piece of aubergine out of the meat sauce from the burger laying next to it, and declared this the vegetarian options, together with 2 other things. No need to say here that the vegetarians would have preferred vegetables which hadn't been dipped in meat sauce before.

For the main course, there were 3 big plates with different kinds of meat, plus 2 individual dishes for the vegetarians. The meat was served with rice and beans both in tomato sauce, potatoes, and tzatziki, which was served way too late.
The vegetarian main dish option was exactly the same as the vegetarian option for the starter, minus the filled mushroom, but with the addition of one little piece of hallumni and 3 pieces of fried mushrooms! The plates were not even the same, since one had pieces of artichoke, and the other not a single one.

The meat (judged ok, but nothing special) was more than enough, however, the two vegetarians were still hungry afterwards. After being told that the vegetarian starter and main course were nearly the same, the waiter just replied with "yes, but with some extra things" and went away...

Concerning the service, the waiters and waitresses all learned to stand in a line to welcome clients or wish them a nice evening. But apart from this, they turned out to be quite impolite, for example by making gestures instead of saying "Could you hand me your plate please".

When we all payed together, there was too much money because we could not come up with the exact amount - the waiter had no problem to assume that this was all tip.
Talking about paying, we suspect the price payed per person was higher than if we would have ordered separately.

Overall, a really unpleasant experience, with a chef which does not seem to be able to prepare up to 10 different dishes, but instead forces groups to eat what the restaurant decides for a price which does not match the quality. Furthermore, the chef has shown outstanding uncreativity when trying to prepare a vegetarian option.
