Varelli Mezze-Café in Antwerpen

We’ve been to this place several times because it has great food. But getting a table there is always a hassle. I made a reservation for 8 persons for tonight and they said they could do it around 20u30-20u45, but when we showed up they plainly told us it “would still be a very long wait” because all tables were taken and another group was still waiting and in line before us. The waitress claimed she told me it would be difficult but this was patently untrue. Very very unprofessional and disappointing when you arrive with a large group of friends. I’d rather have them tell upfront that they can’t do it. Never again!
