Gandhi in Nijmegen

We went to Gandhi in Nijmegen in search for a good Indian restaurant. Made very bad experiences with other Indian restaurants in Nijmegen before.

The Gandhi restaurant tries to build a "modern" atmosphere but fails with its very cheap interior. Its a cold atmosphere like being in a station hall, but its still okay.

The waiter was quite friendly and gave some helpful hints with the Maslalas.

The choice a la carte is very nice, all common known Indian / British Indian dishes are here.

The food was okay, quite tasty and spicy. Had better Indian / Pakistani cuisine before, but its okay. Would eat it again.

BUT here´s the biggest letdown: The amount in a dish is way too small. This way one of the very few restaurants were we all left being hungry! For the price of 70 EURO for 2 Persons I expect to get a dish that is enough, but thats not the case here. Even the rice served was only a hand full, and there was not even enough sauce to dip some naans.

So after all: Sorry Gandhi, your food is tasty, but the amounts you serve for that price is just not okay!

Still looking for an acceptable Indian restaurant in the area of Nijmegen.. :-(
